When I started my skincare journey, around 9 years ago. I was struggling with my extremely dry eczema prone skin. Clinique was the first skincare brand I tried. In my opinion Clinique stock a wide range of skincare and cosmetics which are designed for specific skin types and concerns and each and every one I have been impressed with. The Clinique All About Eyes eye cream is no different and here is my review!
Clinique All About Eyes
The Clinique all about eyes is a lightweight formula eye cream which is suitable for all skin types. The eye cream is in a gel-cream formula meaning it is beautifully lightweight and skins in with ease but delivers great hydration. The cream can be applied all around the eye including eye lids to help reduce the signs of under eye dark circles, puffiness and minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
This lightweight formula is suitable for use morning and night. Used in the morning it doubles up as a great primer for eye makeup reducing creasing and maximising hold. This cream should be gently patted onto the orbital bone area using your ring finger. This helps reduce the pressure used to press.

Looking down the ingredients list for the clinique all about eyes; I spot numerous hydrating products. Further down the list I spot Caffeine. You know caffeine from your morning coffee as awakening, well in skincare it provides a similar solution.

Caffeine in skincare is anti-inflammatory and makes blood vessels smaller. This can help reduce the signs of dark circles and can help address under eye puffiness too. Finally I spot a key ingredient! I didn’t even know was in this eye cream until starting to write this post. Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, otherwise known as a water soluble derivative of vitamin C. Although this is fairly far down the ingredient list; meaning it will be in low concentrations, its presence and effects shouldn’t be overlooked.
My Review
This eye gel-cream formula is my favourite kind of formula. I like something that feels like it is instantly hydrating whilst also feeling soothing. This provides exactly that! The formula is boasting all of the key ingredients you would want from an eye cream. I cant believe after using this same eye cream for several years; I have only just found out that there is vitamin C in here. Perhaps this is part of why I love it.
I this the eye cream does help alleviate the signs of dark under eyes a little. But I can definitely testify to it’s ability to hold your concealer in place. And its ability to reduce the amount of creasing throughout the day. The clinique all about eyes cream retails at £27.50 for 15ml which I think is a pretty good price as a pot would typically last me around 6-8 months.
